First of all I'm Catholic and second the U.S. has killed that many Iraqi civilians and third terrorists I hate them and all of the terrorist attacks not just 9/11 but the Madrid bombings and the London Bombings have all been disasters but I just don't believe going to war with a country that had nothing to do with the attacks is going to solve anything .

This is a quote from Joe Strummer singer of the band The Clash he is one of my heroes anyway here is the quote
"I think people ought to know that we're anti-fascist, anti-violence, and anti-racist. We're against ignorance."
I completely agree with him.

I totally agree with you--i even married a muslim woman and i adore her. if terrorists, who aren't true believers, but fanatics, used headbombs, we'd have to get haircuts before we could fly. we're a scared nation. yes, we definitely need to get along and learn to love all of our neighbors.

I'm not here to win any teacher's apples or gold stars or accolades. I'm here to bring people's attention to the reality. You can thumbs me down until my post disappears but I have no wish to see my country run by the racist, homophobic, misogynist t bigot who helped engineer the West Midlands Trojan Horse while academics and Islamist apologists looked on. No wish to inhabit a country where FGM is rife, women have to wear a dust cover, the word Christmas is banned, women and gays are hated, dogs are happily kicked, and animals left to bleed to death in agony just to a appease a bunch of beardy bigots. And then when they have taken over don't think there will be peace - they will start murdering each other and committing terrorist atrocities on the civilian population as one Islamic faction tries to dominate the others, like they do in their countries of origin. If you want to give up your freedoms of peaceful expression on any topic and want to submit to Islamic Sharia Law because you tried to appease them, more fool you!

Unlike phobias based on mere prejudice such as homophobia, islamophobia does have a rational basis. There is a large minority of Muslims who are either terrorists or support terrorism. In some countries, such as Jordan, a majority of Muslims support the use of terrorism: http://pewglobal.org/reports/display.php?ReportID=248
Now it may be statistically unlikely that you or I will be blown up by a terrorist, but why should we tolerate even a small chance of it happening?
The second cause of concern is related to the first and is the cause of it, and that is the large numbers of incitements to hatred and violence in the Quran, especially against non-Muslims and women: http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/cruelty/long.html
A third cause of concern in the large number of Muslims (I don't have opinion poll findings on this, but my impression from Muslims on this thread is that it is a majority of them) do not accept the separation of church and state that underpins liberal democracies, and want to introduce the barbarity of sharia everywhere.
What it will take to convince me that Muslims are moderate:
The formation of a new branch of Islam that:
1. edits out the hate and incitements to violence in the Quran and hadiths;
2. Rejects unequivocally the use of violence in any circumstances except by the legitimate armed forces and police of a country;
3. Complete acceptance of the need for the separation of church and state.
I speak as a vocal and vehement opponent of the allied invasion of Iraq. But I ask, which came first, 9/11 or the invasion? Muslims cannot blame terrorism on the invasion of Iraq.
Islamophobia is not racist, as Muslims come from all races.

That is not an accurate number (600,000), but there have been a lot of Iraqi's killed, but who is killing them? Well, it is not Jews, Christians, or Hindus blowing them up...but , rather, so called "Islamic extremists". Are you aware that here have been over 2.5 million Christians either slaughtered or displaced by Muslims in the Sudan???
Islamic terrorism is world wide....Malaysia, the Phillipines...Africa...Europe...and now America. Islam does not mean "Peace"....It means submission....In many middle eastern countries, the penalty for conversion to Christianity is death. There are what 36-38 shooting wars going on in the world right now....how many involve Muslims?...all but one.
I don't believe all Muslims are terroists, but I do believe most terroists are Muslims. I guess alot of people think the war in Iraq is stupid....I have to ask, where should we fight it? Why do you think they chose to fight in Iraq? or Afghanistan for that matter?....look at an atlas, or globe...they are on either side of Iran...the "birthplace of terror".
Do you think Mr. Bush had the U.S.Military go into Iraq because he was a Christian?...or because he felt it to be the right descision to protect America? Whether or not his strategy proves to be right or not, it was not motivated by his being, or not being a Christian.
How do you propose to stop the violence? should we destroy Israel? should we turn America over to Islam? ... make all women wear veil's?...should we kill all homosexuals, christians, jews, pagans, and any other group deemed infidels?.....do you want all news and media censored and approved by the islamic council?....you would have no freedom to descent.....nor freedom of choice. How do you appease terrorists? people who seek your destruction and all that you hold dear? I am sorry, but there is alot more to it than "can't we all get along?" or, to try to wish it away.....wish and one hand....crap in the other....see which one gets full faster!
Racism is a terrible thing, but this is not racism, because muslims like Christians come in all races, shapes and sizes. This is hate....a war based on intolerance....not on America's intolerance, but the intolerance of radical Islamic Fundementalists.....If you study the teaching of Mohammed you will understand why we are int this "stupid" war, and why the worst thing we could do now is to quit!

We all can't get along because a lot of people have closed minds and blind faith. I have a fundamentalist Christian co-worker who buys into the Islamophobia crap and thinks she can interpret stuff in the bible to say that Islamics will cause the end of the world. I've tried to convince her otherwise but people like this can't be reasoned with. It's depressing. They just can't see that we're all brothers and sisters.

Yes, there are fanatics in every religion - and to someone like me (an atheist), they are the only ones that matter. They are the ones with the motivation to kill me.

As a moderate Muslim, it's YOUR obligation to rein these nutcases in! Same goes for Christians. Where were they in Bosnia? Where are they in Somalia?

We immediately know where your allegences are so we immediately take you to task. Your an Islamic out to undermind the West.

Not ONCE did you mention the thousands killed in 9-11 nor did you mentions the thousands killed by Saddam.

America did NOT kill that number of people, Al Queda killed most of them

al Queda kill MORE Islamics than American ever could or ever would and that's a fact.

So take your issues up with Osama Bin Laden and al Qudea and ask why they don't kill ONLY Americans, ask why they KILL MUSLIMS.

Why do Islamics have to keep kidnapping people, like the poor Spanish photographer for the Associated Press who got kidnapped in the Gaza the other day.

Even Hamas came out against that one!

YOU need to start being more like HAMAS and at least SPREADING THE BLAME, but NO you can't lift on finger to point at one Islamic doing all the killing, like Osama and his people.

We'd have more respect for you, if you lumped him in with Bush.

So long as the Islamics keep issues one sided we know what you're all about.

See in America we blash Bush to, that's the American way, but Islamics are too afriad to bast even Osama, who's a little nothing.

Correction 600,000 Iraqi civilians was a fabrication....read any recent news.....and also, even with the fabricated lie above they says that 75% of those Iraqi civilians were killed by their Muslim brothers....

However, it would be wonderful if we could all just get along, I have an idea......Could you please get on a flight to Iraq and pearch your brotherly love to them. Perhaps if we could get BOTH sides to settle down, we would have that first step in gettin along.
