He must because the punishment is the same

...the wages of sin is death...Romans 6:23

They are the same in only one respect. They are the same in that any one sin will bring a person condemnation no matter how large or small. Romans 5:16 says that "the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation." You could also look at Galatians 3:10 for this or James 2:10-11.

In the respect of whether one sin is worse than another, you could look at several Bible passages that support this. John 19:11 shows Jesus saying that those that delievered him to Pilate committed the GREATER sin. Ezekiel 8:6 speaks of GREATER abominations. So does Ezekiel 8:13, 15.

In the sermon on the mount, Jesus criticizes those who would break the LEAST of the commandments in Matthew 5:19. He also mentions "weightier matters of the law" in Matthew 23:23.

There are several more passages in the Bible as well, so the answer is yes, some sins are worse than others.

It's true that all sin and sin pays with death, but we do have examples in the Bible that somethings are worse than others. The mosaic Law gives examples such as murder, rape, adultery, dliberate Sabbath breaking, or blasphemy were punishable by death , whereas other sins required payment, exile, and atonement., Jesus' sacrifice gives mankind a chance at redemption from all sins, except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Matthew 12 ; 31. Also, if one continues commiting the same sin over and over again, then there is no genuine repentance, so it's willful Hebrews 10; 26 - 31

Actually no. There are two distinct types of sin. The first being blaspheming the Holy Spirit, this sin is unforgivable. The second type of sin is exchanging the glory of the immortal God for the things of man, which includes everything except the first all types of which are equal, and this sin is forgivable.

I think so though it's not viewed this way in society. A liar and a serial killer, who are you most likely to condem. But then again even in the bible, in exodus with the laws, different sin have different consequences (of course the altimate being death) but some sins required that the sinners the stoned and killed, while others did not. Overall it comes down to this "if God says don't do it, just say no".

No, I would think that some sins are definitely worse than others. Also, I think that God knows and considers the reasons behind sins. For example, and man who steals to feed his family is committing a lesser evil than a man who steals for profit. I have no fact on which to base this opinion, but this is just what I think based on the teachings of Jesus.

If you are talking about salvation, even the smallest sin that is recorded against you makes you ineligible for eternal life without a Redeemer. In that regard any sin will do. If you are talking about degrees of sin. Of course there are some that are worse that others. Sins against children for example.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6

Suffering in hell will be more intense and for a longer duration for those with worse sins on their record.

well... all sins are equally damaging, meaning they all separate us from God equally. Check out Romans.
The thing is... it doesn't make any sins "less wrong". That is definitely NOT the case.
