How's this: God exists outside space and time so therefore its meaningless to ask "age-related" questions like that. This line of reasoning comes from Einstein's observation that space and time are one and the same (spacetime). Consequently, if (at some incredible distance) all the space (and time) in the universe are eventually bounded because they bend back upon themselves...God can exist outside of that boundary (looking in) and not be subject to the physical laws of space and time that we are.

In the Bhagavad-Gita (The Song of God) Lord Krishna says that there was never a time where He did not exist nor anyone (ad-libing) That the soul is eternal. He is the Source of everything including all of His incarnations. So that is what makes Him God Or the Supreme Soul. Everything emanates from Krishna. So you are eternal but your body is not. The soul is just transmigrating into different species of life depending on their Karma and desire. When you are done with all of that then you will Begin the process of self realization and eventually go home back to the eternal abode where there is no suffering.

we can't conceptualize infinity so we cannot think of the universe not having an end, and we cannot think of time having a beginning. we can, however, see from physical evidence, the beginnings of mankind.
