From color of tablet I would say ibuprofen, however ibuprofen doesn't come in strengh of 140. It starts with 200mg, 400mg, 600mg, 800mg. The only strengh you can purchase over the counter is 200. Therefore I don't have a clue what the pill is you found, but if you have children, or suspect other people who enter your home may be taking unprescribed medication, I would take the pill to my nearest pharmacy and ask a pharmacist, what it is. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT LET ANYONE TAKE THAT PILL. DESTROY IT, AFTER TAKING IT TO BE IDENTIFIED. Thanks for the opportunity to address your question

First, a warning, never take a pill from an unknown source. Next, since you may not have ready access to the Physician's Desk Reference, you may be able to verify what it is exactly by playing the match game. Check other bottles until you find a match. If no match, toss it or do as the RN above suggested and take it to a professional to get it identified. Matter of fact, for myself, I'd not even waste any time doing research and toss it anyway since it was on the floor and only God knows what kind of germs and other stuff are down there. Would you eat scrambled eggs off the floor where you found it? I only mention this because I remember seeing an ad campaign for a floor sweeper/cleaner of some kind where they simulated a restaurant where they ladeled soup onto the floor. I wondered what idiot thought THAT was a good idea... There is no 5 second rule and bread ALWAYS falls butter side down when butter side up and pushed off a table...
