Lake Alexandrina and Lake Albert are found in South Australia but there is also another Lake Albert in Africa.

(Lake Alexandrina)
Lake Alexandrina is a lake in South Australia, Australia located adjacent to the coast of the Southern Ocean, about 100 kilometers south-east of Adelaide. The Murray River is the major river to flow into Lake Alexandrina.

The lake is shallow and contains a number of islands. The lake empties into the sea near Goolwa. The water in the lake is maintained as fresh water by a series of barrages across the islands near the Murray Mouth. Lake Alexandrina is connected by a narrow channel to the smaller Lake Albert to the south-east. The lake was named after Princess Alexandrina, niece and successor of King William IV of England. When the princess ascended the throne and took the name Queen Victoria there was some talk of changing the name of the lake to Lake Victoria, but the idea was dropped.

Lake Alexandrina which has a surface area of 76,000 hectares
includes both permanent fresh and permanent saline lake habitat.

(Lake Albert , Australia)
Lake Albert is a notionally fresh water lake near the mouth of the Murray River. It is filled by water flowing in from Lake Alexandrina at its mouth near Narrung. It is separated on the south by the Narrung Peninsula from the salt-water Coorong. The only major town on the lake is Meningie.

Lake Albert is significantly saltier than Lake Alexandrina. The lake was named after Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the Consort of Queen Victoria.

(Another Lake Albert....in Africa)
Lake Albert – also Albert Nyanza and formerly Lake Mobutu Sese Seko – is one of the Great Lakes of Africa. It is Africa's seventh largest lake. It is located in the centre of the continent, on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire). Lake Albert is the northernmost of the chain of lakes in the Great Rift Valley.♥
