I'm glad that CBS' Kimberly Dozier and ABC Bob Woodard (?) got top notch medical care from military surgeons...but do their employers reimburse the government? I beleive they should. Anyone know?

Nope, a military hospital will bill a health insurance company for the care recieved by a civilian. And, a Military hospital will treat American citizens overseas that are injured as a result of combat with no regard for their ability to pay. They are Americans. But, Dozier and Woodruff both had good insurance and I assure you they where billed.

No, I believe they have to pay out of their own pockets, whether direct or indirect(such as Checks, Health-Insurance, etc.), but what I hate and always ask is why are they their in the first place? What favor are they doing the American people, I actually stand with the view point in which these reporters and News Cast Shows make it worse for America, for example the Abu-Ghraib scandal, who aired the pictures which caused world-wide report? WE DID.

I personally believe that we're resposible for our own down-and-up fall. I support the U.S. Military as much as the next guy but this is just getting out of hand.

They bill the company that the journalists represent. They are heavily insured. They go to medical hospitals because they have better care in third world countries.

I dont mind if taxpayers foot the bill. They are doing us taxpayers a service by getting us the news about the war. Without them, we'd be dependant on Bush and the pentagon for the truth? Good god..

Hopefully, they will be billed, but if you think that's bad, guess who's treating the suicide bombers in Iraq when one of their explosions doesn't take them out? There is one hospital in Baghdad, run and staffed by our military, and it treats everyone.
