say i was to open the jar in a year/2 years time would it still smell?

it wouldnt stay long.. for the same reason.. when you fill the balloon with air it deflates in few hours.. becuase of the air pressure.. and more over it will be impossible for you to just fill a airtight jar with your smell.. it will get mixed with natural air and will contaminate the smelly air.. try it and let me know how it went.

I don't know about a jar, but I do know that it will linger overnight in a closed up car and hit you in the face the next morning!

Ok, that's just gross! I don't know why don't ask my brother. He used to fart in a jar and save it for me if I wasn't there. My uncle used to do the same thing to my mom.

If it was completly air tight it would last but i doubt you could get it completly air tight unless you work at a bottle factory and can use a machine to seal it in
