I have to draw something showing metamorphosis for my art class but i don't know what to do.....
it can't be a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, evolution, or a rose bud turning into a rose because thats just cliché. . . any ideas?

I had to do that for art class once. I did a face transforming into
a geometric shape. I started off with a detailed woman's face (drawn from a model in a magazine). Her face was diamond shaped so I did a series where the features of her face would start to blur & stretch out toward the edges until the last one in the series was just a perfect blank diamond shape. I did well on it. Really you can turn anything into anything when it comes right down to it! Just use your imagination. Just pick two things with a similar shape. A woman's body into an hourglass or a guitar is fairly easy. I did a painting of my body as a guitar for an album cover once.

Good luck! Have fun!

It depends on how the mind thinks really. Try and focus on what you feel and bring in the imagination.
anything and everything that changes could be used, even a face if use time to show how the changes are made. Like four faces in the time of seasons, so you could have spring for youth, summer for young adult, autumn middle age and the wise expression of age being winter, all demonstrating time with the seasons in the image. It could actually be one face and divided into quarters and each quarter showing a different stage of life, the background of each quarter being the season
Just one idea to help stimulate the imagination ;)
Good luck and God Bless xxx

You can draw an ugly face. Then apply what would appear to be makeup on the same face-(different sheet of paper)... and voila metamorphosis! (ugly to beautiful) You could also convey use of plastic surgery or diet/exercise in your drawing to achieve a beautiful face/ body instead of just makeup.
Have fun with it!!!

haha that's what I was gonna say about the butterfly. Maybe a house being built, a sandwhich being made, or a building being torn down. Anything in the process of completion correct?

Hope this gives ya some ideas and gets the creative juices flowing.

A baby girl growing up and becoming a mother herself...
A toy from the store becoming a child's favorite (aging, wear and tear, and such)...
An idea becoming reality...

what you could do to be artistic is to make a rose bud turn into a women that turns into a butterfly. it shows how life changes after time and you feel like your becoming something new.
