GO TO THE VET -
Ur pup at only 5 weeks age, is not even Old Enuf For Frontline !!
=any= is 'too much' at that tender age!
(=where= is the pup's mother? pups should not leave dam or sibs till 56 days, or 8 wks, age - so what are U doing with a pup 3 weeks too young?!)
the 'sleeping' U describe may be something that pup won't wake from; that's an insecticide, as in a poison!
call the vet, and Go! * Now * would be good...

Give him an extremely thorough bath RIGHT NOW!! You need to wash it off. Also, you do NOT need to apply Frontline to a 5 week old puppy, no matter how much you use. The box of Frontline very specifically says "do not use on puppies under 8 weeks old". If your dog starts to drool or shake vehemently, take him to a vet ASAP.

I believe the active ingredient in Front-line is 'fipronil'. That's probably the most toxic poison you can buy. I don't think it has label directions for a 5 week old puppy. He may be asleep for a long, long, time.
A bath with plenty of soap is the best thing to do, scrub all the poison off if you can. Then call the vet.

How do you put too much frontline on? It comes in a pre measured tube. are you talking about using the wrong size for the puppy? Be more specific or contact your vet for advice

You can get Frontline that is right for your dogs weight. I would think you got for under 25 pounds. All I know to do is get a wet towel and rub some off. Just hope it doesnt do anything to your pup.

I don't think you are supposed to use that on dogs younger than 8 weeks old. I would give him a really good bath and call the vet. Make sure you read that packageing before applying that stuff first.

Wash it off quickly. Then wait 6 months before attempting to do it again.

Wash him thoroughly and get it all off. Ask your vet when you should reapply, whether you can put some on tomorrow, or wait in case some already got absorbed.

I would bathe him to try to wash off as much as possible. It takes a while for it to soak in.
