how can you ask for a opinion if you only want to see positive answers? Judy was talented had a great voice and lived what I assume was a tragic life since she ended it herself

This world suffered a great loss when Judy left it. She was beautiful in so many ways... talented... a beautiful voice... and pretty. I've read about some of the trials in her life... she didn't have it easy. She seemed at times to be controlled by her mother and the studio. May she rest in peace.

Judy's is a sad story of an incredibly talented teen who did drugs.
She was famous in Hollywood even at 16, for frequenting the opium dens.
So, I guess I don' t think she was all that nice of a person. At least she didn't have enough respect for her own talent to have personal discipline. And she still didn't quit when she had children to raise.
Maybe by then it was too late?

After reading the other comments, I find it hard to judge someone for having a spiritual sickness or addiction. Drug addiction and suicide indicate a spiritual illness where people lose the will to live and harbor self-destructive tendencies they cannot control. It is not their will to suffer this way -- they cannot help themselves when they get overcome by such oppressive energies. Before judging someone for not being about to break out of the cycle of addiction and destruction, please read "Healing" by Francis MacNutt, edition 2000 or later. This book is required reading in many seminary studies, because the author distinguishes between the different levels of disease (from the physical to the emotional, mental and spiritual) which all require different types of treatment in order to heal the whole person. If you do not pray to free someone from spiritual sickness first, it can block therapy and medical treatment from working on the other levels. So it is important to recognize the cause and treatment of spiritual illness, especially addiction. MacNutt and his wife Judith who is a psychotherapist, are head of a healing ministry in Florida where they pray for and teach others the full process of healing. I have nothing but respect for them because they work in a way that enhances medicine, science and secular forms of therapy, without letting religion or faith get in the way of full treatment. If anyone reading this knows someone who is stuck in addiction or self-destruction, will you please contact this ministry for help. http://www.christianhealingmin.org The book "Healing" documents medical studies proving the healing effects of prayer when applied in harmony with medical treatment. It can be ordered off ebay or half.com for $11-14 but only the later editions include medical studies done after the book came out in 1974.
