sometimes i get this blurry line in my eye, usually my left eye, and it is sorta like a blind spot cause i cant focus on things on the left. it is really really annoying and i dont think it is ever an eye lash, cause it feels more like it is inside my eye. its a blurry line and kinda flashes, it usually gives me a headache and sometimes afterwards i get sick. has anyone else ever had this problem? any information on it? i am a sophomore, if that helps, and i wear glasses.

It sounds like an ocular migraine especially with the headache following and nausea and vomiting, or a vitreous detachment, both harmless. A retinal tear/detachment would usually cause hundreds of small floaters it would look a swarm of bees with constant flashes of light, you would also notice blurred vision and may have a curtain or cobweb appearance over your vision. It would be a good idea to see an ophthalmologist for evaluation, to rule out more serious problems, I am afraid the previous price quotes are seriously wrong, I would expect it to cost at least $100 or more easily. A reputable optometrist can also evaluate your condition and refer you on if needed, they cost less also. You can also have floaters at virtually any age, the older you are the more likely to get them. Bring a driver, you will be dilated.

My mom's an opthamologist and to me it sounds a little like this thing callled a floater. They can be caused by many things some really serious, some not. I think the only thing i can say is see an opthamologist, not an optomatrist. There's a bid difference and the first is specialized for this kind of stuff. I'll ask my mom and get back to you. I've never heard of a floater causing sickness though.

Dur to this you vision cant blurrey if the lids are too much dropped that means covering the pupil ( optical zone) black center in your eye then totel vision is blocked of thet particular eye. Otherwise there is some referactive error present in that eye so go to an optician and got proper glasses on it.

You probbaly need to go see an optometrist. (Eye doctor) I work for one, and that can be something as simple as an eye infection or something worse such as retnal problems that could lead to poor vision or blindness. It will likely cost you 45-80 dollars to get this taken care of if you don't have insurance but your vision is worth it. You probably don't need vision insurance for this type of problem only regular health insurance will cover it. Hope this helps.

oh my mom had something similar to this. but it's strange because whether you're a sophomore in college or high school you're still too young to be getting what my mom had. usually it happens as your eye ages. what could've happened is your retina could've torn.. that can happen whatever age you are. but i highly suggest getting to your personal eye doctor as soon as possible. whatever it is needs to be looked at and soon.

You should get this checked out by a doctor. It could be migraines or something else. Good luck!
