You've got the wrong idea. A "Diet" isn't something you "do" until you're "done."

We're talking about a lifestyle change.

You need to learn to eat in a way that doesn't leave you miserable all the time, but yet has the right number of calories. That's what Weight Watchers teaches you to do -- eat the right way so you can have fun w/ food, so it's not the enemy.

Second, you need to burn off more food energy thru exercise. Exercise will also help take care of that anxiety of yours too -- you'll be happier and sleep better. Join the Y, get into a class or two, and have fun. In fact, if you exercise enough, you can eat almost anything you want!

Last... if you're 160 at 5'9", that doesn't mean much. If you're muscular, then that might not be bad at all. If you're a couch potato, and that's all flab, then you're about 20-30 pounds over what you need. It's all about body fat percentage, not about weight.

I wouldn't worry much about the weight as muscles weigh more than fat. If you're tall with a wide frame, you could probably carry that much weight and not look overweight. The question is what size do you wear. I'm 5'5" and when I was at lowest weight of 130 lbs, I was wearing a size 2. I weight train, do cardio and very active.
I've been on the blood sugar diet and it's working very well for me. You can eat a portion of fish, seafood, pork, chicken and beef, the size of your palm. You can have any vegetables except potatoes, yams and the like. Avoid sugar, pastries, dairy, nuts and beans. You can have as much olive oil and butter as you like. Drink 1 liter of water for every 50 lbs of weight, daily. Stay on the diet for at least 4 weeks and then you can cheat twice a month and have anything you like.
I used to have a sweet tooth and after I've been on this diet for a while, I no longer crave sweets and my appetite is down. This diet has become second nature to me that I really don't feel like I'm on a diet anymore.
I hope this helps.

No, you are not fat. Don't worry so much about dieting, just eat healthy food and get exercise. Muscle weighs more than fat, but makes you look better and smaller. You are nice and tall, so you are a good weight. Stick to small meals, eat lots of protein, dairy, fruits, veggies, nuts, but stay away from carbs, like bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. Don't eat at night, but eat a good breakfast. A little snacking is ok, son't overdo it, allow yourself a little fun stuff, just be sure to limit candy, cakes, cookies, etc. Sometimes the stress of strying to stay on a diet makes us binge, creating a yo-yo effect. If you do eat something bad, don't be harsh on yourself, just get back on track.I lost 30 pounds in 4 months this way, good luck!

obese, perhaps quite, yet weight isn't the gauge of wellbeing or wellbeing. How lots physique fat as against muscle is. What the size says is beside the point. i'm particular i ought to discover women human beings on your age bracket who weight that lots and are very in wonderful condition and intensely lean, and a few that are somewhat pudgy. exercising. commence weight coaching and get greater exercising usual. The weights will trim and tighten your physique very, very at as quickly as. Then use the mirror as your instruction manual, no longer the size.

A little unless you are very athletic and muscular
About diet you aren't in trouble yet. Don't fool with a specific diet . Just eat smaller helpings and save some of the salad for in between meal snacks. Snack so you don't get so hungry you gorge yourself. If you eat less your stomach will shrink and fill easier

You didn't tell us your age. You should not drink sugared drinks or eat snack foods and fast food. Don't skip any meals and eat some veggies or apples as snacks between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. Don't eat a lot of beef. Only have one helping at meals. Drink a lot of ice water and walk whenever you can. You can eat plain unbuttered/unoiled popcorn after dinner and don't eat dinner late and then go to bed. It's going to take awhile, but before you know it you will start to loose weight, so don't be discouraged.

It doesn't sound like you're fat but to lose weight you don't need to have some special diet, or eat certain foods. just eat less portions, more healthy foods, less junk foods, drink a lot of water, and exercise regularly. do about an hr of cardio 3-4 times a week. stick to it and you will lose big time!

No, you are not fat. I'm 5'8" and 230: I'm fat. At 175-180, I looked GREAT. I put on weight because I haven't been kayaking as much on the weekends (my boating buddy moved) and was depressed.

Just get plenty of excersize and everything else will take care of itself.

You are tall so that is a good weight, don't sweat it. Diets do not work, eating health does. Plenty of fruits & veggies. Eating regularly is important. Accepting yourself is making peace with yourself. You do not have to be like anyone else. Just be yourself & enjoy life.
