Go to Walmart & buy a "percolator" coffee pot. Its the old school coffee maker. Water goes in the pot, coffee is put in a metal basket that inserts inside, put the lid on & stick it on the fire. When the water boils, you can see it thru the clear top. You can watch the water turn to however dark you want your coffee. It works great.

Ah Ha, campfire coffee. Great on a cold morning.
Use coarse ground coffee and as much water as you want coffee. use two generous tavlespoons coffee for each cup.Sit the pot on hot coals, not open flame. Slowly bring to a boil, then remove from heat and steep for 5 minutes. Add some cold water to settle the grounds and serve.

You can also put some coffee in a filter and tie it off like a tea bag. Then, submerge it in a pan of water and boil it until it's the right strength. That's camp coffee.

1.do it the old fashion way. with a cloth bag 2.Get a funnel and a vessel to receive the coffee. Boil some water, put the funnel in the vessel with the cheesecloth or a coffee filter in it, put your ground beans in the funnel, and pour hot water into the funnel. 3.boil water, dump in some coffee immediately. Let settle to bottom of pot and then pour gently so as not to disturb the grounds

Go to a camp supply store, and buy a coffee pot. Put the water from a faucet nearest to your tent, or from the sink of your rv. Heat it on the camp stove or on a wooden platform that's on top of the fire pit (you'd have to build the platform) and light a fire. But be sure to wear an oven mit, to pick it up.

They would boil it in a pan or pot and the grounds would settle or they would strain it through their bandana.
