Even tho they say you can have it in your body for years I know I got it form my current BF (who didn't tell me about it... JERK!). I broke out down south, freaked out and went to my doctor who confirmed a diagnosis of HSV-1. It has been about 2mo since I found out.

My question to you is my relationship is not going well (for other reasons) and an ex and I want to get back together. I don't want to do anything to harm him and will tell him before we have sex again. How do I do it? How do I bring it up? What should I say? I am confused because I haven't had to deal with this before.

Also am I mistaken in thinking that 1 isn't as bad as 2? Not as easy to pass? That was kinda how i understood it from my doctor. Please help me here... God knows i need it!

just ditch the current, I'm assuming he knows he gave it to you, but before you and the ex go any further you'll have to tell hime. If he cares for you enough he'll understand and you guys can work through it.

Just tell him the truth. Tell him how it happened and see if he is accepting about it.
