Dogs actually do that because they are rubbing the scent of the dog that left the pile on themselves with the hope of being accepted by the pack. That is how wolves in the wild recognized each other.

Many dogs do that. It pleasures them in a centain sense. Try to pick it up asap. There is no way to stop them, except for maybe punishing your dog whenever it does that. Feel lucky that he doesn't eat it like some other dogs.

Either pick up the poop if it is in your yard, or keep him on a leash and away from the dookie if it is someplace else.

Dogs do this because they think it smells GOOD!

actually theres a spray just for that go to your local pet shop and look for it i dont have the name of it but it really works I USED TO HAVE THAT PROBLEM but not anymore and if you cant find any spray for it you might just have to walk your dog on a leash from now on GOOD LUCK

MY POODLE does the same thing. i look forward to finding out why. i thought my dog was the only nut case
