Ok, I went out with this girl about a year ago and it lasted for 3 months. the reason we broke up is she would never really talk to me. It seemed that she never wanted to talk, she would never call me, or walk up to me in the halls. I always had to go to her. Ontop of all that, she cheated on me. Well, with all that behind me, I still have a thing for her. and come to find out that she really likes me. She is just really embarassed and sorry for what happened last year. Her best friend told me that she wont shut up about me, that she is always talking about me. She has also told a couple of my friends that she really likes me. I've put some effort on trying to get back together, calling her, talking to her between classes. But its the same thing again, Its a one sided thing, I always have to do the talking and such. I know the easiest thing to do would be to put her behind me, but I really like this girl, and would give anything for it to work out. What should I do?anytips

Assuming her friends are telling the truth, she probably just doesn't know how to handle it. I remember liking this boy in class, and ended up spreading rumors of him and telling everyone that I hate him. Just be straightforward with her. Tell her you like her, but if she doesn't feel the same or won't give you a chance, you will stop trying. And mean it! If she really likes you, she will come through.

As depressing as it may seem, I actually have pretty much the same problem with my boyfriend. We're working on it though. If I were you, I would just straight out tell her that you really want it to work but if she wants it to work too then she's going to have to put some effort into it. Make sure that you get your point across, but try not to scare her. Best of luck! I hope it works out for you both!

If she really liked you, then she would put the effort to make this work out too, but apparently it doesn't look like she's trying to. And cheated on you? Hmm, it doesn't sound too good because if you get back with her, what makes you think she won't do it again? I'm not saying she will but she MIGHT. I don't know...sorry if it doesn't help...

Yeah, just keep talking to her. You said she was embarrassed. Ask her "why won't you talk to me?" With a smile, though. And not a sad smile. Smile like you're looking at the most beautiful thing in the world (and you are), and smile like you don't even care a bit that she doesn't talk to you. Smile like if she'd talk to you, you'd smile even more, but you don't really care, cause you're already smiling enough. You walk up to her with a sad face everyday, cause she won't talk to you; you're scaring her.

Well, good luck.

I think she just likes the attention. She would play harder and harder to get, and now that you're off the scene, she doesn't get that attention again. So she's getting her friend to tell you all this stuff, because she knows you are vulnerable to the bait - her. She's like a cuddly little kitten.
Stop playing mouse.

maybe you should let her know how you feel.. like let her know that you are willing to look past what happened before and youre ready to do anything to work things out. if youre open to her maybe that will open doors for the both of you. she seems shy.. if she sees that youre comfortable with her.. she'll be comfortable with you.
