OK so I had a huge pimple on the right side of my nose... like right on the crease.... and I tried popping it and it didn't work so I saw that some ppl said put toothpaste.. and I did, but now I have like a burn scab surriunding the old pimple, it's like a square umm i would say 1 inch.... I don't know what to do, I have side bangs so I use that to cover it, but I'm tired of having hair in my face.... the burn scab barley showed up today.. so I don't know if I should leave it alone or keep putting stuff on there... my mom freaked out on me.. will it leave a nasty scar??! What shoudl I put on there?!?!? How long will the burn stay on there??? and I know I might sound a little self absorbed but i'm not, it's just that the kids at school are really mean.. and I don't want to be teased... Please help! and thanks for everyone that does! <3

** OMG I had this same problem.. use Neosporin!!! Your burn will go away in a week or two, and yea my doctor told me that it wouldn't scar so don't worry yours probably wont either... Neosporin works awesome and come one don't use toothpaste anymore... you're better off just letting them go away on their own.. **

Okay. First: take a deeeeep breath. :-) I would apply some ice to it first. For say, 20 minutes. Then, apply some non-greasy healing cream to the affeced area. Make sure the cream is non-scented and not too strong. This should help it keep from scaring. Go to the drugstore with your mom and look at all the acen stuff they have. Choose one that is recomended for healing scars and severe acne. Then, pick a cream that prevents/ heals acen so you won't be tempted to pick it next time. Pick out an oil free cover up and a translucent powder that matches your skin tone to cover up the affected area. Last, but not least, just ignore the mean kids at school. Wear some cute earrings or your favorite top to distract from the pimple. Good Luck! - A high schooler

Okay, well, I used to have really bad acne. What has always worked for me is to pop it and then pack it full of astringent. Wash your hands after you pop every zit to avoid spreading infection, because that is what they are infection. also after you washed it you can put honey on it. Honey is bactericidal- nice word for it kills bacterial, which stops the zit from coming back. And if you don't get the "core"-the main seed- the zit is more prone to come back. The toothpaste dried it up and that is why it scabbed. I don't know how long it will last, and I know the kids at school are mean, but I was picked on a lot, and the same guys that picked on me are asking me out now, so don't worry about them. Oh yeah, and if you get a zit there again, try to use the end of a bobby pin to pop it.

WOW. you have a problem, this question gets asked a lot so I did some research to better answer these types of questions. First to prevent future pimples and get smooth skin wash your face everyday and use a good mosturizer. Now get a couple of aspirin in a bowl, put some water in it, and mix them together untill it is almost paste like then put on the pimple and keep it there for a few minutes then rinse off. If it is still red tomarrow then put a ice pack on it for as long as you can this will reduce the swelling and redness of the pimple. Drink lots of water and get tons of sleep and it will eventually look better

The toothpaste can actually burn the face, so that was a bad thing to do. Just leave it, itll go away. If the pimple is swollen, what you can do is put some ice on it so that the swelling goes down.

You shouldn't have put the toothpaste, it obviously irritated the pimple more. The best thing you can do is keep the skin around the area clean and don't put any oily creams on it. It should heal on its own eventually.
