I really love the modern look. Red, Black and White are the colors i'd like to decorate with since they fit so well together.

Some "pinto" patterned black and white pillow would be rather nice.
An area rug might also help you out, as well as a black-framed mirror on the wall, some black and white vases, or just inexspensive candles sitting around.
If you go with a mirror, some clear glass lamps would also look nice to add a bit of sparkle to the room; maybe also a crystal vase, ashtray, or whatever. Should be able to find those sorts of things at garage sales or flea markets.

The couch is big, so that's all the red you really need. The black and white should be the colors of the tables and lamps surrounding the red couch. Santa Fe style throw pillows would be the necessary accent...

I'm a fan of animal print so i would do nice black and white zebra print pillows. three or four free floating black picture frames with a picture of red objects. ( fire hydrant, stop sign, rose, red wagon, car etc.) just some thing to pop. make the pictures of the same object just different views.the frame holds the picture between two pieces of glass. A nice black sheep skin or faux fur for a throw rug. If you have animals use it on the back of the couch to cover up with.

you could go with a black pillow with white polka-dots or black and white stripes.. or one of each on either side. hang up black and white photographs above it in blue or green frames. (since red and green are on oposite ends of the color spectrum or blue because is is close to oposite.. the color will really pop.)
you have a lot of options, down to a floor rug or a black and white throw you could hang over the back of the couch or a vase on a table next to the couch. you really can't go wrong.

I would find really nice black and white paintings/pictures...that would accent perfectly with your red couch. I would add wood to the your theme, too...maybe a dark cherry wood for your coffee/end/dining table and entertainment certain.
