I own a Pomeranian and he doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body! The meanest I've ever seen him get was when a bigger dog started growling at him and, of course, my pom had to start growling and snarling at the bigger dog. My baby is great with kids, my nieces and nephews (ranging from 12-1 years old) all play with him and wrestle with him. Maybe I just got really lucky, but even the pomeranians that come into the vet clinic where I work are all sweet. As for Chihuahuas (is that what you mean by chwowow?), I have met plenty of mean ones and plenty of nice ones. It depends a lot on how they are raised. My sister has 2 chihuahuas and they won't let anybody touch her, her fiance, them, or anything they own. I have met some nice ones at the vet clinic where I work, though.

You really need to pick the dog that is right for your living conditions, right for your personality, and right for the grooming responsibilities you want to take on. Both are really great dogs, but I would definitely say Pomeranian.

everyone says that chows are mean but i hear that Poms are very agressive! my grandma owned a chow for 16 years! The sweetest thing i have ever meet and my friend had a Pom that was very agressive! But i guess its what your willing to deal with! And if you want a tiny dog or a fairly larger dog! They are both very fluffy so they will need a lot of grooming! Also i hear they are stubborn so a lot of trainging will be nessesary too! Good luck, whatever you choose im sure the dog will love you and will become your best friend in no time! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH did you mean Chihuahua? I have one and hes the sweetest cuestest baby ever! If you mean chihuahua get that one!

Heres pix of my "chwowow" chihuahua

Both have similar personalities, if size matters because of restricted home size or yard get the Pom, otherwise go with the Chow. Both will require you watch them with small children, Pom's and Chows are territorial-fiercely.

Pomeranians eat about 1/5th what chows do, take a lot less space, better watchdogs cuz they bark and live about 7 years longer than chows at least. . Oh yeah, chows can set you back a cuople mill and land you in jail if they bite anybody! Its your choice.

Do you mean a Chow chow or a chihuahua.

I would suggest you do research in to both breeds to see which fits your lifestyle, and learn to spell the dog's breed correctly.

Get a mutt, then you will never know what breed it is! I have a German Shephard/ Chow mix and she is the sweetest dog I have ever owned. Good protecto-puppy too.

my personal prefernece would be a pomeranian. i prefer their size and their personalities are a lot more friendly (not that i havn't meant some nice chow chows). either way, you're going to be doing a lot of grooming.

Pomeranians are adorable. If you have a choice, pick the one that seems the calmest, quietest, brightest and most curious.

I guess if that was my only choice, it would be a Pom. You could not force me at gunpoint to own a Chow.

neither. Get a standard poodle. I have a 3-yr-old standard poodle. She is smart, funny, athletic, gentle, and loving. Plus, she does not shed.
