Is there alot of security or is the surrounding area safe to attend? I've heard bad things have been happening there.

Yes, I have been there twice and there is nothing to be afraid of, except the Haunted House.. ooooh . But seriously, there are mainly kids there, and young adults, really not an unruly crowd.. Just don't get drunk there..

The area where House of Shock is isn't in a bad neighborhood. The House of Shock itself is scary as all hell.

I just got off phone with (girl)friend. We discussed house of Shock. If you are scared of being frightened by a haunted house, answer no. If you are scared of being frightened by thugs and criminals, answer, yes.
