I am looking for a short term program one where u may have to go every day for a couple of months instead of the usual year and a half.

Check with your local community college. They often have crunch courses or mini-mesters. Also, possibly local hospitals emergency departments may have some ideas for you.

Good luck.

I would not recommend a shorter program. I have seen one program local to me that offers the paramedic school in 6 months, and the quality of medic leaving their school is well below par. There is simply far too much information to learn in under a year. I went through a program that was 13 months, and I feel like it was still too short. There is a lot of responsibility that goes along with being a paramedic. It is a serious profession. Don't feel like you have to rush through the training.

I don't know where you live but in Tacoma, Wa they have a program where you go three days a week at TCC (Tacoma Community College) and it lasts nine months...my suggestion to you is to maybe go to their website and get a number to get a hold of them and see if they know of any other places in your state that do that...the guy in charge and the guy you want to talk to is mike..he oversees that program...i don't know i hope i've helped in some way..
