Is is to do with the colour-fastness of the pigment or how well it shows up against skin?

It all depends on the person. Someone with light skin will show colours more vibrantly while someone with dark skin, won't show the colours as well.I would think that white is the most difficult on either skin tone.

No colour is hard to do I have 6 and they are of all colours, but after a number of years it fades and eventually goes into the dark colour but I'm talking about ten years down the roadand it also depends on how much sun you allow to it, but the good thing is you can have them re-coloured, I hopes this helps

Other than the obvious, white, or whatever colour your skin is, red doesnt work very well, if you go in the sun alot with it. I've heard it goes funny...But I'd recommend you have your tatt touched up every couple of years to keep it looking good, anyway.

That shouldn't be hard at all. Yellow is lighter than green and is even half the color. Usually cover ups are only a problem if you're trying to cover a really dark color with something much lighter, or dramatically changing the shake (like from pink to yellow).

It's a little of both and usually white ink is the hardest to see on most types of skin the artist has to go over and over the skin to get a really good shade going.

I am caucasian .... never met a white person in my life ..

White is the hardest colour to tattoo on a caucasian person as it has no reference point .. it is a neutral colour

The opposite goes ............ brown is hard to tattoo on an african . it is a neutral colour.

Most colours are made from three not from two

It depends on your skin type, . White is mainly used in the sketch type of tattoo. It is a skill that is not as easy as it looks, if your thinking of getting one, find one that will give you quality. Remember a tattoo is for life a decision not to be taken lightly.

skin colour is very difficult to see when tattooed.
Why? - because it blends in with the background.

I was told not to have white on mine. I have 5. Apparently it fades too quickly and looks skin coloured after a while. Dunno if the same applies on dark skin though.
