My husbands doctor said that there is a tumor-like thing inside of everyones brain. He said that the one inside my husbands brain is abnormally large, and he should have yearly MRI's to monitor it. Since they are very expensive, I thought I'd try to do some research on it before we have the test done. However, I haven't been able to find anything on the subject, and I'm limited because I don't even know what the thing is called. The doctor who told him this was an E.R. doc, and I can't recall his name. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Please please get another doctor's opinion

I have a grade 3/4 mixed glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor.
That started out as a grade 2 came back as a higher grade.

I've lived longer than any other with my type of cancer, that my oncologists have dealt with.

My doctor saw something 10 years before, the cancer got too big

then I had a large mixed glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor grade 2" slow growing"

Then I got radiation treatment, and that looked like your cured.

Now it's came back as a.
grade 3/4 mixed glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor.

Now, I just get how long I should live.

Please be aggressive with your doctor's

If I would have been more aggressive with my doctors and them with me
maybe I would have more time with my daughters...

I have severe migraines and I understand your concern I also thought that I possibly had a tumor. My MRI was normal. Migraine meds do not work for everyone. I have given up on taking mend everyday to lessen my migraines as they do not work for me. Don't give up hope there are several different meds that you can try. You need to take your meds as soon as you feel the migraine coming on if you wait too long the meds won't work as well. I don't think that you have a tumor because you would usually have neurological symptoms besided migraine pain.

Tumors are not normal, they are aberrations. Everyone does NOT have a "tumor-like" thing in their brain. Are you sure this guy wasn't the janitor? No doctor would say a thing like that.

Never heard of anything like that. I would get a second opinion.
