Actually you need both. God does not expect us to surrender to something that makes no sense. The reason why there are so many religions is because - Originally the knowledge is given by God, then man decides to change some things or get rid of things. Eventually the truth appears to be lost. So God (Krishna, Rama, Jehovah, etc. ) has to come again or send His representative (Chrish, Mohamed, Moses,Srila Prabhupada) to reestablish the truth. It is very logical. In the past only the Church and the government and a few others had the Holy Scriptures (and women could not read). So it was easy to change the scriptures King Constantine had so much strickened from the Bible. But now the most recent saint is A.C.Bhaktivedanta who came to the west from India to reestablish the truth. Read the Bhagavad-Gita as it is By Prabhupada It will give you all the logic you need to give you faith. God is kind, He wants us to understand Him and everything, but we have to be sincere and ask the right person or we can get side tracked. I have studied many religions and was brought up Christian. Christ led me to the Bhagavad- Gita and for 14 years I have been practicing Krishna Consciousness which goes beyond materialistic type Religion and is Sanatan Dharma (the original occupation of the soul) all the answers are there and always have been. You just have to be ready for them. For more information go to www.stephen-knapp.com

Logic (and reason) -- no question.
I tried having faith, even went on a mission for the church I was raised in. I was miserable the entire time -- felt like I was forcing something even I didn't believe in on people. I really, really tried to believe, spent hours in "prayer," worked hard at it -- but logic kept telling me this stuff was wrong and I was miserable because of the conflict.
Since I woke up and realized that I don't need to believe in a mythological god to have a good life and be a good person, I'm much happier. I still am a good person, give of my time to charities, help others whenever possible -- but I do it because I want to better humanity, not because some made-up god "commanded" me to. I have no fear of death, I don't worry about going to hell or being saved, and I don't have to squirm trying to fit religious dogma into the facts of science. Life is MUCH better without a belief in god, and using logic and reason to find my way in the world.

I use both, just because a person has faith, doesn't mean that he has lost conception of logic. Faith is different to each individual. I think a pearson needs to use everything. I don't belong to organized religion, but my love for God could not be stronger. I had stage 3 colon cancer and I was not doing well. I asked God if he would give me one more chance. In my heart I know that he did. I thank him every day. It has opened my eyes to just how special life is. You might not see this as logical, It was very logical to me.

Logic. I've always lived by this option all my life (always will too) and I'm very happy so far. I believe that if I do what I think is right I'll be happier with who I am, not what someone else tells me to believe. Basically logic is... um... logical!!!!
I can't really give a really good example. Maybe I could say that I always found the answer to any question I had through logic and not through any belief system.
But to each his/her own in the end, right?

Faith on it's most basic level (that we all use whether people want to admit it or not) has served me better. I have faith the other drivers on the road don't want to crash into me, so I'm not afraid to get into the car. I have faith the food I eat isn't poisoned, so I continue to nourish myself. I have faith my husband is honest with me, so I get to be in a trusting relationship.
Yep, this most basic level of faith keeps me from being a paranoid wreck, and I'm glad for.

If logic can't get you there resort to faith. Logic has limited use, but gives you correct answer, like which insurance company to choose based on what you need and their rates. When you don't have all the facts, you use intuition or faith.

logic is a circular path. Faith gives one direction, and thus is linear. Which would you pick if you wanted to go somewhere??
Any other spmewhere than here.
It takes many years,, travel,, questions, and a lot of heart break to learn this lesson or you can learn from one who has done the leg work already.

Logic. Faith has lead me to believe lies that have been perpetuated for centuries. Logic freed me and now I have faith in logic.
