I went to the er one day for a problem with my ear and I told my husband I was freezing as soon as I said that the doctor came in and my husband laughing-ly asked why I was always cold? Dr said it could be hypothyroidism so I was tested and it was.

Anemia will certainly cause you to feel cold... are you sure your iron levels are back to normal?

Also, you might consider asking the doctor to order blood work to have your thyroid checked. It's a hereditary condition .. does anyone in your family have an underactive thyroid? It's like the thermostat for the body but it controls a ton of stuff along with your comfort level. Things like dry skin, drop-foot, appetite, bowel movements, menstrual cycles ... TONS of things.

Good luck!

Being severely anaemic explains it, your blood doesn't provide enough oxygen for some chemical reactions that release thermal energy. Anorexia is what you might have too or poor/strict diet, which is totally wrong!
I'd suggest good, rich in vitamins (and from all the groups, not just salads) food, do a blood test, show it to your doctor and see what they say.

DId you know your iron levels are linkred to your thyroid levels. I find when my thyroid/ iron levels change so does the other. HAving a thyroid problem makes you feel the cold quicker.
Also try doing small exercises and always have something to concentrate on.

Oh and wear thermals they really do work.

Get your thyroid checked. People who have an under-active thyroid are often cold.

Other symptoms, puffiness around eyes, weight gain, pain and tenderness in wrists, dry skin, feeling depressed at times, and there are even more. If you do have an under-active thyroid it's very important to get it treated. Anyone can get an under-active thyroid, sometimes it runs in families, but some people don't have anyone in their family who has one. Recently giving birth can also cause your thyroid to become under-active, that's what happened to me. Treatment is easy, one pill a day.

First you have to learn to live with your different body temperature, I think you should always wear socks, keeping your feet warm will help you with the rest of your body, don't drink cold bevarages and have some sweets once on a while, sugar helps you keep your body warm. Good luck¡

You may have a naturally high body temperature, causing you to feel the cold more than the average person.

I have a low body temp (avg 97.2 degrees F).... I have the opposite experience, I am always warm.

are you real thin? When I was in my 20's my weight was always around 100-110lbs and I was always cold as I got older I gained weight and after I hit 117lbs I was not so cold anymore. It could be that you have no body fat to keep you warm

Judging by your screen name, you're a ballerina. Do you eat enough? A lot of ballerinas tend to be anorexic. My cousin is anorecxic and she is cold all the time. Try eating something and see if it helps.
