i want to go to the dance with a guy i like (and he likes me) and i want to go to the dance with him but i want him to ask me... how do i get him to do that??

ask him (in a subtle way) if he likes to dance???
if he says yes ... say something like ... oh .. so do I .. we should maybe get together sometime .. it might be fun
He should then reply something like ... That dance that's coming up .. would you like to go with me?
Sounds a little too simple and perfect I know .. but hey .. it just might work

Sweetie if you are waiting for a guy to ask you to a dance you might not be going to the dance.
Maybe you need to let one of his friends know that you want him to ask you otherwise, ask him out or risk staying home on dance night.

Honey, you can hint until you turn blue in the face, but the simple fact is that GUYS ARE DENSE! You're either going to have to tell him you want to go to the dance with him or go by yourself. Guys don't get hints.

You could try asking him what he's doing the day of the dance and hope that it comes up. Or you could say "Are you going to the dance" and then hopefully he'd ask you. Good luck! : )

Isn't this the 21st century. don't girls ask guys out these days. geez, way back when, i used to ask guys out. it isn't being obvious. throwing up in his face is being obvious. go ask him if he would like to go to the dance. the worst that can happen is he can so 'no!'. if he does say no, go look for someone else to go with, he obviously isn't interested.

guy's like girl's who are assertive. I just went to homecoming, and i would have loved it if a girl asked me instead of the other way around. Just ask him openly and honest, and put on a really awesome outfit. Ask him. If he says no, trust me, it's alot of fun just by yourself. I know it sounds lame, but a had the best night of my life.

guys dont get hints only if u keep on telling thim: "there is a dance do you know when"or "do you have a date to the dance" or "i dont have a date" or "there arent any good guys arowned"
then he will get it

Just keep flirting and he will ask. If he really really likes you he wants to take you anyway he is probably just trying to come up with some clever way to do it!!
