I prayed recently to God an hour ago, to dramatically change me, to help me to be myself around people, to bless me to be stronger, to make me a leader, to take all fears away from me, and to be a man, the way he created a man to be.

Well, right after I prayed , I logged onto myspace (ofcourse), and someone posted a scripture on my blog, timed 30 minutes before I even prayed the prayer! I'm totally amazed by this..The scripture is....

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee.
Be not dismayed; for I am thy God. I will
strengthen thee, I will help thee, I will
uphold thee with the right hand of my
righteousness." ~Isaiah 41:10

In other words....
Do not fear; for I am with you. Do not be
dismayed (afraid to act because of fear)
for I am your God. I will strengthen you,
I will help you, I will uphold you with the
right hand of my righteousness.

By the way, this was right after I had a dream of me being myself around others! Which is the reason why I prayed!Advice?

That is awesome, Sir Michael.

God can certainly use other people to give us scriptures that are timely and give us the advice we are seeking from God. I believe that the Holy Spirit was influencing this person to send you that scripture and you should accept it wholeheartedly as a message directly from God to you.

God is very personal. He loves having a relationship with human beings who seek Him with all their hearts. He is able to speak to us in a number of ways if we are open. Foremost, the Bible, but also other ways.

In answer to your question about what do I do with a scripture God specifically gives me? I meditate on it, believe it, expect it to happen, thank God for the answer in advance. Then I sit back and watch it be fulfilled before my eyes. God loves to reward our faith. This is what some people refer to as "standing on scripture" or "standing on the promises of God".

There is a real old hymn called "Standing On the Promises of God". It is one of the first church songs I ever learned as a child. But it provided the best lesson in trusting God that anyone could ever learn. Learning to trust Him is awesome because He is worthy of our trust and our love and worship. Keep trusting!

Your prayers were I little selfish;they were things that you wanted and not the things that God wanted for you.Did you really repent for your past sins while you were praying? If you haven't ,you have just already answered your question. If you pray with I greedy heart ,how could God bless you with good things.Sorry for being judgemental ,but all things work towards God's plan and there could be a clearer ,if not silver, lining at the end of all these hardships.God doesn't like greedy people ;look at Proverbs 23:20-21.Maybe it was something else;I thought it was because of your greedy heart.

Why are you so afraid of being yourself? What seems to be the problem? I'm sorry for whatever it is, that scripture is awesome. I clung to it after my son's car accident. My son died but God has still remained faithful to me & our family. God does answer prayer and He uses many different people and situations to bless & encourage us. Keep the eyes of your heart open and you'll be fine. Take care. Oh, what do you do with the scripture? You memorize it, commit it to your heart, say it, know it, trust it, obey it, enjoy it....Ps. 119:11 - "I have hidden your word in my heart that I may not sin against you." God's word is alive, vital and constant. God Bless you!

That's totally amazing! i LOVE the way our God works! I'm wondering though what you need advice for? it seems pretty clear to me. When you become afraid and Satan whispers lies that you aren't good enough or God isn't there, remember that verse, think of the times you've seen the effects of God, one being this verse. Hope you never forget He's there to strengthen, help, and uphold you.

I think you should just take the verse to heart and love the verse and just appreciate it. I struggled with the same thing==being myself around others, just identity issues. I probably still do, but a lot more before.

Maybe God just wants you to know that you don't need to fear, because He is always with you and He will help you. Just put your trust in Him, and let Him lead you.

And just in the meantime you can just appreciate this experience and the verse God gave you.

God loves you with an everlasting love. Look at the last part of Psalm 91 for a promise written just for you.

When God puts it into your spirit to accept a verse as for you specifically accept it as a personal answer to prayer (which you seem to be doing.) All scripture is as a personal letter to each of us. He has us focus on scriptures He wants us to meditate on.God bless you.

You know what they say, when everything comes up lemons, make lemonaide.

When God gives you a scripture, make a leap of faith, and believe it's for you.

Print it out. Frame it. Live it.

God has blessed you. Make the most of it.

Isn't it just wonderful how God answers prayers. I love it when I pray and I know no one else knows what I am praying for and God answers. That lets me know God hears me.
