well it is basicly a very powerfull rocket produced by the russians, it is used to send space equipment and astronaughts into space,it is also used on i.c.b.ms.it is the most reliable rocket in the world, it's being used to supply the new i.s.s(international space station) with food and new astronaughts, even the four space tourists who went into space were transported there by a soyuz rocket, it's so reliable american astronaughts are sent to the i.s.s with it because america's own space shuttles out of action since the columbia space shuttle disaster

In 1975 a US Apollo spacecraft docked with a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft in orbit, and the astronauts and cosmonauts shook hands. This was great because the US and the USSR were still enemies in the Cold War at that time. To me it was fun to see the Russian appear in the port and greet the Americans (in English, maybe his only English), "How're things?"

it's an unmanned rocket that is used to deliver things into space. russia uses them to send/pick up people and supplies to the international space station, especially when the US space shuttle is in the repair shop, which it has been a lot lately ever since columbia.
