Maybe her equilibrium is off (check her inner ear -- has she been susceptible to ear infections?). Or, it could be a blood pressure- related issue (low blood pressure can make you dizzy), or a blood-sugar issue, too. I would ask her regular doctor to check her out.

I would really have a doctor do a blood pressure test study. It may be that she has an illness that effects her blood pressure. I know a feel people that were my patients that had this disorder. Also make sure that the doc does some kind of scan whether it be a CAT scan or an MRI of the brain just in case. The pressure illness is pretty uncommon but not unheard of. Make sure it is a good doc or neurologist that can do the correct studies. They may have to do a EEG of the brain also. If you have any other questions IM me. Good Luck!

My son had this when he entered puberty. He would come into my bedroom and night saying "mom, the world is going by fast and everything seems so small". He would do this off and on for about a year. I had taken him to the doctor but they just said it was puberty. It really was the scariest thing because I thought it was a tumor or drugs but it wasn't. He is now 20 years old and very healthy. If you are worried, it is worth taking her to the doctor. BTW, when I read this, it really freaked me out because those were the EXACT words my son used. I thought we were alone.

I'd recommend full check up. She should have her blood sugar checked, she may be having low blood sugars late at night. She should also be checked for possible psycho-motor seizures, I had them at that age because of hormonal changes. She is also possibly dehydrated, not enough volume in her blood stream would give her a low blood pressure which can cause all those symptoms. As you can see there are many possibilites, and a doctor needs to sort thru them.

It sounds like an inner ear infection. Take her to an ENT doctor and have her checked out. This is the simplest solution. If this isn't it, then get her checked by her physician.

Yahoo! Answers is great for advice, but please take this girl to a medical professional, as there may be a problem that is far more serious.

Best wishes that she gets well soon.

Is she having her periods yet...i know they start early these days.

She could have an iron deficiency, getting up too quickly, low blod pressure.

What is her eating like? some girls that age start diets with horrible side effects.

I think you need to talk to her if not resolved then her doctor needs a visit.

Let me know how you get on

Orthostatic hypotension. She needs to see a pediatrician to get it sorted out. This could eventually lead to fainting.

She could be dehydrated. That used to happen to me when I was her age. Or it could be something worse. Take her to the doctor to make sure it's not something serious.
