Why are so many Women reverting to Islam?

According to "The Plain Truth", February 1984, in its 50 Year Anniversary Issue, quoting from the "World Almanac and Book of Facts 1935" and "Reader's Digest Almanac and Yearbook 1983", between 1934 and 1984.

200,000 people per year in America alone, are converting to Islam. For every 1 male convert to Islam, 4 females convert to Islam.
They're discovering the FACTS and not basing their decisions on biased media. They realise they deserve to know the complete unadulterated truth.

1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original Sinners (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}.

The Koran Clarifies it was Adam Not Eve {Koran 7:19-25}


2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}.

The Koran says both are an Equal Blessing {Koran 42:49}


3. The Bible forbids women from speaking in church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}.

The Koran says women can argue with the Prophet {58:1}

4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as an Adulteress, not men {Matthew 5:31-32}

The Koran does Not have Biblical double standards{Koran 30:21}


5. In The Bible, widows and sisters do not inherit Any property or wealth, only men do {Numbers 27:1-11}

The Koran abolished this male greed {Koran 4:22} and God protects all.


6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives {I Kings 11:3}

In The Koran, God limits the number to 4 only under certain situations (with the wife's permission)and prefers you marry only one wife {Koran 4:3} The Koran gives the woman the right to choose who to marry.


7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}

One must ask a simple question here, who is really punished, the man who raped the woman or the woman who was raped? According to the Bible, you have to spend the rest of your life with the man who raped you.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Says {Volume 9, Book 86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:"It is essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the marriage)".

Would the Non-Muslim men reading this prefer the Women they know to be Christian or Muslim?


8. The Bible also asks women to wear veils as in Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}



9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a 100 years ago in the (US), while the Koran gave women voting rights almost 1,500 years ago.

This does not go out to everyone!! This is simply for the people who use Quranic verses to say Islam is oppressive to women!!! I answered somebody's question the other day on yahoo (it was more of an attack rather than a question----it quoted quranic verses that were "oppressive" to women) saying you can find similar verses in the Bible. They told me to prove it......so here it is!!!!

The holy Qur'an is like magna carta for women. I am glad to see that many people, not just women, are seeing Islam as an option.

Not one of your links worked for me. What is your source of information for the 20,000 American women yearly converting to Islam? You give no credible information. I did know a lady who did convert a few years back. She was married in a traditional Palestinian ceremony. Having known her for many years, I know she was clinically depressed & had been unsuccessfully treated for it for years. Is there a connection? Well after the federal government found out her new husband was here illegally & in fact had smuggled in many other family members, he was notified he would be deported. Guess what? He kidnapped her two sons from a previous marriage & left the country. Nice huh? That is the truth for many American women who have married Islamic men I do know many honorable Islamic people. They are never the ones that brag about conversions or Islam is greater than Christianity or praises suicide bombers. A zealot is a zealot. More women would leave Islam if they weren't afraid they would be killed as most people who leave Islam are....

No. Both Adam and Eve (as mentioned in the Quran) ate from the tree at the same time; no body led the other.

K C Superstar is right in saying that The Koran clearly states that a husband should beat his wife and also makes it clear that men are superior to women.
Whilst I don't dispute your quotes from the Bible, how many of them are actually being put into effect? For example does the Catholic faith condone rape? Last time I checked it was classified as a sin. Do Catholic women wear veils? I don't see them, if they do. Can you go to Church and get married to more than one wife? If I'm not mistaken the Church is unlikely to marry you again even if you get divorced let alone if you are still married at the time - and funnily enough, this applies to both men and women! And I'm pretty sure women are allowed to speak in Church! Your problem is that you're not trying to be balanced and you've fallen into the common trap of going for selective reading. Both the Bible and the Koran are very old documents and they reflect their times, but you are very naive to think that The Koran does not repress women. Perhaps now that you've read the Bible so closely you should also read the Koran a little more closely as you appear to have missed a few salient facts. If you look at the way Christian women are treated and the way Islamic women are treated, you'd be a fool to declare that there is more equality in Islam...and I certainly don't see them as having more freedom. But at the end of the day what matters is what you truly belive and what you're comfortable with.

2. we have a Ecclesiastes not a Ecclesiasticus and in that book we dont have 22:3 it only goes to 12.

3. Jesus Does NOT say that that book is written by The Apostle Paul. Read 1 corinthians 14:39

I don't believe the bible or the quar'an...both have been translated for 100s of years over different languages. Its like telling someone in a room a secret when your in grade school. It goes around the room and when it gets to the end the message is all twisted. Neither of them are any good. Just be a good person and don't worry about who is right and who is wrong. not all bibles use the word "rape" in deut 22:29. for example the KJV says

28If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
