95 jeep cherokee I got a lot of the dash taken apart but still cant find it is it near the ac sytem box

i see the top of it but can't get it out of the black box

from under the hood...you will find 2 hoses going into the car..they are the heater hoses which attatch at that point to the heater core.

now the fun part...inside the car...you must remove a lot of stuff to get to the heater core...but it's located directly to the firewall where those two hoses come into the car.

I'd suggest getting a chiltons for the exact operation to remove it...as I have done some which actually require lowering the steering column.

I always refer to some heater core operations as...remove the car and you can find it. On the jeep it is probably not that complicated though...but it can be quite the job none the less.

PUT THE WRENCH DOWN AND STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE!!! Now that I have your attention, go find a buddy, friend, your mechanic, some dude walking down the street, somebody that knows about cars and ask them for some pointers. Your car will thank you. You obivously have gotten yourself to a point where you need guidance and should go to the auto parts store and get a manual or at the very least to the libarary and check the manual out.

The dash has to pull away from the body then there is a black box {hvac} remove that box the core is in there.

It is located inside of the main heater box. You will need to open it up and only then will you be able to see it.

just look in the shopmanual you bought at autoparts store.
