In modern days and times, this is actually becoming a large issue for many couples (believe it or not.) It really should't matter, as long as you really care for the girl you're with and she really cares for you. In her eyes, she most likely feels intimidated by you in certain fields. Just remember that you're both great hard-working people, you just specialize in other departments than she does, and big talents don't always have to do anything with occupations.

Threatened about what? Your masculinity? Go with the flow, offer to pay when you can. If she's overwhelming you with expensive dinners and gifts, then speak up. You have to have communication. Someday the economy will pick up and you'll get raises. Or even find a new job. If you love each other, maybe she's just trying to help you out. My husband makes more than I do by a mile. It's a non-issue. Good luck, man.

It can definitely cause problems if you let it. You may feel like you have nothing to offer, or if you let her pay it makes you feel less chivalrous. Don't go over your budget, go on a picnic, be romantic, make her a CD of love songs. Things don't have to cost a lot to mean a lot. Make up for lack of finances by being a truly caring person.

Money doesn't matter. There are only three necessities in life; food, shelter, and clothing! If you have enough money for these, that's all that matters! LOVE is the important factor in a relationship! We can't choose who we fall in love with!

If it doesn't matter to her, don't allow it to bother you. obviously she isn't going out with you for the money. There must be some ting about you she likes. I would celebrate this, at least you know she is not a gold digger. God bless

It only matters if she holds it over your head. I know its hard for men when their wife makes more money,I always made more than my x husband of 16 years.I didn't shove it in his face.

I think it would cause a problem. I wouldn't want to date someone who made one-third of my salary. A little bit wouldn't matter, but that is a really big difference. Cut and run, dude.

You shouldn't feel threatened in the least. If you two truly love each other, it won't matter one bit.

its because your british. you think you need to be so MANLY and anyone who dosent watch soccer must be GAY and "american football" is a pussy sport because they wear padding. RUGBY is more manly.
well if you are trying to actually make yourself come across as more manly by saying these things, then you are just insecure
dont worry about it though. guys who say "oh he's a pussy because his wife makes more money than him" are just insecure.
