When becoming a cop, what are some of the questions they ask you on the test?

The reson im asking is because, i want to become a cop.

And about 4 years ago, i sold a little bit of weed. Will they ask me on the test if i ever sold drugs? if not, what else do they ask you?

thanks ahead for any comments!

The best thing to do is to tell them the truth beore you take the test. Odviously if you sold, then you used. They will ask if you have ever used illegal drugs. You can cheat polygraphs, but it is not easy. Thier are books out there that supposily help you cheat them, but why would you want to be a cop if you have to lie to get the job. Not your dad or anything, but that seems a bit hipocritical. Admitting you messed up a few years back and have since changed your ways is way more honest. good luck to ya.

This will also be something you have to admit on your polygraph test. Asking for advice or looking for information about them. They should give you a sheet with a broad look at the questions they are going to ask you.
The key is to admit to everything and have as many of the dates as possible. When you are reviewing with the examiner before the polygraph begins disclose everything you can remember. The test monitors changes in the body, not on whether you lie, but because you go into a minor shock (fight or flight) based on the question. This indicates to them that you have not disclosed everything because your body reacts to the question.
Its like when you donate blood. Some things are based on time periods. In AZ I believe it was 3 years of being sober, and only using drugs for experimentation. Dangerous drugs as they are called will give you maybe one use to still qualify.
I also remember that selling drugs is a very big no no when you are trying to become an officer. It might vary from state to state though since different states require different things. I would contact your State POST Peace Officer Standards and Training Board and discuss with them all you can about it. They will give you information you will find useful. It will also help you determine if it is something you can do.
Good luck to you.

They are supposed to give you a list of the questions but when polygraphed ask you the questions in a different way...Polygraphs are BS in my opinion because of a lot of factors such as: person administering the polygraph how knowledgeable is he about the process? the machine itself, recent calibrations? The person taking the test...They may feel responsible for circumstances beyond their control....

They will ask you everything, first on your application it will ask you if you ever used drugs, next it will ask you if you ever sold drugs,

So first they will ask you if you lied on your application, then when they see you lied on the app, they will start line by line over the application.
