It is easy to get a ROTC Scholarship in College. For some reason the 4 year scholarships are harder to get than the 3 and 2 year. If You got one branching Aviation would be the hard part. unless you branched Guard or reserve where if you get a unit to accept you, you get the slot they have.

If what you really want to do is fly I would stick with WO if you are an officer you will fly for maybe 3 years and then work a desk. IF you go WO you can fly your whole career. I don't know how hard it is to get with out being in the army already. you may need to get a 2 year degree to be competitive, it all depends how many pilots they need that year.

I asked an Aviation officer I know about the HS to Flight School program and he said that is where most of his pilots came from so It can be done.

Look up local National Guard and Reserve aviation units in your area. You could also look at joining them if they have slots if you have trouble with the active board.

The army does have Fixed Wing pilots but only small executive planes no war planes.

The best way to get an ROTC scholarship is to find a school that has an ROTC for the U.S. Army (all their pilots are rotary wing), speak to the ROTC recruiter (no they wont send you to war these arent the bad recruiters). Ask them what requirements you need to be competetive for a ROTC Scholarship. Once you do that attempt for the scholarship. Be warned though ROTC scholarships are few and far between, the military doesn't want to put you through school if they feel you wont make it in 4 years. Also just be more informed if you do go into a college ROTC program you will be told to select between 3 and 5 career fields so you may want Aviation but you may end up with Quartermaster it's all based on the needs of the military. And no one goes into the military as a warrant officer, how you can become a warrant officer is get your officer commission then talk to your commander and tell him you want to resign your commission and be a warrant officer (do this only after you are a pilot at Captains rank because after captain you will see less flight time.)

It is easier to get into a ROTC program out of high school. And practically impossible to get into WOFT without a college degree. It is possible to get into ROTC and apply for a 2, 3 or 4 year scholarship. The longer the scholarship period, the more competitive it gets.
Also, if your goal is to fly rotary wing aircraft, it would be easier to get into the WOFT program from within the military on the enlisted side. Most helicopter pilots are warrant officers, not commissioned like ROTC produces. Try to get into the aviation field and your chances for acceptance into the WOFT program are much greater. You must also have PERFECT vision, be able to pass a flight aptitude test and flight physical, secure several recommendations and pass the warrant officer course. None of these are easy tasks. Good luck

Stop hating and start studying spelling. You say you have nice grades but you don't know how to write. ("there" not "their", ??"And would have ... or 15-20 hours"??
