Well I can tell you that all churches aren't like that. Our church is small and they pay the pastor and our pastor teaches high school science. We maintain the church utilities and up keep, we give to those in need. This summer we bought a semi load of food and gave it away free. So don't judge all churches by one church.

its because they believe in the PROFITS and not the prophets.
Benny Hinn, Roberts, Dollars are all the same scum.
Swaggart and Baker, 2 hypocrites and liars , thieves and adulters.
What is so stupid is the people who actually trun to men like these and pay them money, utter fools.
Show me one passage from any book of God that requires you to actually pay money to have someone pray for you.
Benny Hinn is a thief, and a fraud. How many of the people he supposedly performs miracles on are still pain free and cured ,? ZERO otherwise he would be in every medical journal going.
Christian Churches are the bastion of the Hypocrite and the morally destitue, have been for centuries. Just dont confuse them with religion.

Finally some one who thinks the same way that I do.....i stay away from churches, I think that organized religion is the biggest money scam going. I don't remember anywhere in the bible God or Jesus saying to go out and create lavish cathedrals or temples in my name. I think that these people (pastors, bishops, etc.) pray on peoples fears of going to hell so that they can tap them dry. I appreciate giving a tithing of 10%, but put it to good use like helping the poor or homeless, not by lining thier pockets and buying mansions. Jesus always preached humility and modesty. I think that they are all hypocrites and that people should open thier eyes to the lies and corruption. Worship on your own, have in home bible studies but stay away from conglomorate chruches that only care for their money.

Churches make all kind of money because they tell the people that God will bless them if they give. Salvation is a free gift you can do nothing for it. We are not under a performance system but we are under grace. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

No, you do not have to be rich to go to church, that is just on TV. They make a bad rep out of true christianity. The Church that I go to We recently started going for the last 2 year's and have never heard him mention about asking for money, Not Once! So depending on what denomination you attend depends on what you'll hear about begging for money. I'd stay away from assemblies of God. They beg a lot for money. I grew up in the Assemblies of God. and now I go to another one that has never asked for money.

They don't
For example, churches in the U.S. tend to make U.S. dollars and very few Canadian dollars.
