Atheists don't hate God. They do, generally, have disdain for religion and the backwards thinking that accompanies it.
Religion caused 9/11--admittedly a more backwards form of it than most of us are accustomed to.
Religion has caused more wars, death, and destruction than any other entity in the history of the world.
Religion is the cause of much of the conflicts we are seeing around the world
The world would be a better, safer place without religion

Only reason you may feel you would hate God is that something really horrible must have happened to you and that you have no one else to blame, so you blame God. It's an understandable human reaction, but a flawed one.
For the most part, we are to blame ourselves for most of the crap that happens to us. Humans set up this system with all it's fallacies. It is said that 95% of all accidents could be prevented with better planning. Personally, if you look at all the accidents ever, I believe all 100% could be avoided. Human on human problems are caused because of our imperfections. Eliminate this somehow and there truly would be paradise.
So, why does God let suffering happen? Different religions explain this differently. The Bible shows that all was good with Adam and Eve until their disobedience. Then all the problems began and continue to this day. The future is suppose to bring change for the better when God has had enough.
Reincarnation theory states that we come to experience suffering and other things over and over again until we achieve perfection in the spirit realm.
Maybe we're like the movie the "Matrix" in that this is all a computer generated dream.
Who's to say what the deal is. I feel that everything that happens, happens for a reason. Perhaps with some prayer, you may know why in a way you did'nt expect.

If you do not believe he exist then you are right you cannot hate him. I however believe in god and I love him dearly. Right this minute I need him more than ever and I think I am going and reading some scriptures on peace even now.

When Adam Sinned (Ate from the Tree) he messed up his Spirit and Changed Gods from the Creator to satan.
Adam hooked up Spiritually to satan, and DISCONNECTED from GOD Almighty Spiritually.
satans Nature: Hates GOD.
We inheirited this Nature (IT IS NOT DEMON POSSESSION), and it is Lodged (Hate GOD) in our messed up Spirits deep way down inside.
Everybody is Born on the Earth at this Time with That Nature.
Deep down Inside of Me, I hated GOD, and Didn't know it.
THEN, I Got BORN-AGAIN.
And THEN I Loved GOD way deep down Inside of me.
Thats why we gotta Believe in Who Jesus Said HE Was.
Jesus is the Only One Who can Recreate us.
religions cannot recreate us.
And you gotta get that Spirit of yours Recreated BEFOR you Leave the Earth for GOOD.
Won't work after that.
Spiritual Law.
Can't break Spiritual Law without getting Cursed.

Nobody hates God. Atheist don't hate God. Most of us don't even hate religious people. Most of the hate talk I see here is from Christians.

I've heard people say that they hate the bible, Christianity, Christians, and organized religion but I've never heard someone say they hated God.
Do you have a link where many Atheists claim to hate something they don't believe in? Could you link to a source? I just haven't seen that
P.S. Technically, couldn't you hate something that doesn't exist? Like a hatred of unicorns?

It's a scriptural thing. Jesus said you must 'hate your father and mother' to follow Him. That doesn't mean you must gnash your teeth at the thought of them, but that you simply not consider them when deciding to follow Him. So by that definition, ignoring Him IS hating Him.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!
Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!
Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?
My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:
Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...
Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...
Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

Good question.
But a hating heart hates everything real and imaginary.
When it becomes boring with hatred, it will seek for love and thankfully loves its divine and eternal Source.
