A question on Science and Mathematics just now.

Why do we have an appendix?

Most of the answers said "I don't know, it is of no use to us, but animals have them".

From a religious viewpoint, would any of you creationists or Adam and Evers like to comment? Is it an imperfection?

Probably for the same reason we have a tail bone: we used it once, but no longer do.

Just because science/medicine can't find a use for the appendix doesn't mean there isn't.

You are limited by man in your thinking. Yes, I can do better than the scientists. The only imperfections in this world were created by man, not God.

no I think we should all have an I do not know file. Unfortunatly those who believe they can proceed through life and know the all the answers are just trying to be in control and if there is evidence of anything there is abundant proof we are not in control. Proof try and stop using O2, not use H2O, go on an all meat diet. We are not in control. That is the first thing one must accept b4 they can move on logically. I have made a decision on step 2. Another step that needs to be accepted is because triggered by answering the question "What is the sound of one hand clapping"

Calling it an imperfection says that it's supposed to do something vital, but it only comes across halfway. People who wear glasses, for example, have vision that is an imperfection.

As for the appendix.... Ummmm.... Maybe God and evolution are working on it.... *lol*

Our mortal bodies are imperfect, we age, get sick, and die, and that's okay.

As far as the appendix goes, no we don't need to live, but I don't think we should give it such a bad wrap, I mean at least it's good little space holder amongst all our soft organs.

At one time I suppose the appendix was useful. Nothing created by God was imperfect, originally.

That is proof of adaptation, not evolution. It goes right in the same category as different skin colors and hair.

Maybe it does have a purpose, and we just don't know what it is. God has a purpose for everything.
