the funny thing about christians thinking that it is wrong to take the lord name in vain is that when that commandment was first given, it was literally meant that someone couldn't actually say the name of god (jehovah, Yahweh). It was an invention of culture that saying "god dam" was wrong

not sure but my church doesn't let any of us say "God this or that" they think this is disrespectful of God. They think we should just say "gosh" instead. But I think if sometimes you really wanna bring God's attention, then you have to call his name, right?
For you question, I think God would be mad coz you sound like ordering God to do things for you, why should he be doing things for you? Why should God dam that river for you?

YES, because sound has energy and your purpose it not to help the river but to damn it, hence negative energy.
Had you said, GOD bless that river, the GOD would be happy.
Besides, GOD can't get angry, it's not of ITS/HIS/HER nature. Try disappointed. Besides dogs get mad people get angry.
