You could but it'd be rude. Just simply put "Return to Sender" on the envelope and let the mailperson take care of it.

No, write on it return to sender, not at this address and place it back in the mail box and the post man if the same all of the time will stop delivering that persons mail to your address. Good luck and God bless

No, legally that is considered tampering with the mail and is a federal offense. Return it to the landlord/apartment manager, or give it back to the postman (he'll probably just throw it away, but at least the legality is on him, and he'll know not to deliver that mail to you anymore).

No you can't. I think it's considered tampering with someone's mail. You should write on the front "Does not live here" and put it back in the mail. The mail-man or mail-woman should know what to do.

yes you sure can...they say its a felony to tamper with someone elses mail but realistically what the feds gonna come get you? if your all so worried...put return to sender and put it back in the mail box...or if its from a business look the number up tell them you are receiving mail from them for a person who does not live there...and further more put your last name in the mail box so the mail person knows which mail is yours

Well technically it isn't your mail to throw out, but you are receiving unwanted mail. I suggest you return it to the post office. Or you can write over the top of it: RETURN TO SENDER; ADDRESSEE MOVED and place it back in your mailbox for the mailperson to take away.

Why would you even think about throwing it away. It belongs to someone an you have a moral obligation to try to get it to them. If morality means nothing to you, you need to be tutored in ethics. Listen to the immortal words of Elvis, "Return to sender!"

Write on it "no longer at this address" and drop it back in the mail. They will return it to the sender and then it should stop coming to you.

If caught doing it, you could be prosecuted for trashing the U.S. Mail--something you're not allowed to do. Simply mark on the envelope "MLNA" which means "moved-left no forwarding address" or "NATA" which means "not at this address."

You can bundle them up andhand them to the counter person at the post office. Been there done that, and facing it again as we speak.
