Tip the beautician the same amount that you would give to a person that just slapped you in the face.
Or maybe leave a few cents in the tip tray, so she will know that you didn't just forget to leave a tip.

No, I would not have given a tip and I hope you didn't. If you don't like the way it is you have a right to your opinion; even a different style. You were asking for advice and apparently she saw nothing that could be done to your hair. This left you feeling hopeless. I would have made it a point to ask for the manager before I left so I could be sure that if she was I would never go back. I'm sure the manager of the Salon would have been interested in how the stylist talked to you. If I had an independant contractor in my business who spoke that way to customers I would want to know about it. Sounded like she was in a hurry to get it fixed and get you out.

It is not the stylist job to determine whether or not you are lazy in styling your hair. If you expressed that you didn't want to spend alot of time on your hair then she should have suggested a better style to suit you and the time you want to spend on it. If she could not come up with a suggestion, then you should have asked for another stylist. You should always discuss what you want done to your hair with your stylist before she even shampoo's your hair. If you ever feel dissatisfied with any service, whether it be at a salon or at a restaraunt, you should not tip.
You always have the right to ask for another stylist, or to get up and leave, if you are not happy with what you are told, or treated. Just remember to always talk to the stylist before she starts on your hair. Make sure she knows what you do and don't like about your hair and how much time you want to spend on it each day. You cannot be lazy with your hair, sometimes, you just don't have time. If I were you, I would call the salon and talk to the manager or owner about how you were treated.

No you should not give her a tip. Tips are a form of showing your appreciation. It is obvious that this lady did nothing that you appreciated.
My sister is a hair stylist, and at their salon they had a girl that often didn't receive tips because of her rudeness to customers. The best thing to do is not tip the stylist and let her manager know that she was rude. This will make the manager aware of the girls inappropriateness. In cosmetology, personality is a must, so I'm sure the owners of that salon do not want someone working for them that treats their costumers like dirt.

A small one. I would ask your friends if they have ideas how your hair should look. You can ask for friends for recommendations on a new beautician.
It is a good idea not to go back to that beautician. If you like one of your girlfriends hair you like; ask them who they go to.

NO WAY! She gets part of the fee that you were charged. Please, don't go back!!!! Not everyone has an hour to style their hair, and I feel that if you have a good haircut, you should have to do minimal styling.
