Its nearly impossible to have a clear mind.
Most people think every second of the day
I am a great martial arts enthusiast and have read some Bruce Lee Philosopy
In martial arts a person must be clear of mind, that is only when he can learn
he follows on with along the lines of a person must not think, he must also not think about thinking about nothing, for if your thinking to yourself about thinking of nothing then your trying to think about not thinking,
he mentions it in slightlly a different aspect but its near enough the same thing, hope it makes sense lol

I'm not sure if everyone's mind is going full throttle 24/7 but I know mine is. That may be due to the fact that I am an insomniac and a manager. If anyone has an idea how to either slow down the mind when it is time to sleep or shut it iff I am open to suggestions.

Nope, you're not mad. I'm usually thinking about some witty retort I could've made during a conversation. Or a cutting retort to someone who's getting on my nerves. I can never say them at the time (something garbled and daft always comes out), but after, when it's too late, I think of the most wonderful things I could've said. But ..... too late!

I have the same issue. You are not mad I believe you are, as I am, attempting to make sense of the world around you, and have an analytical mind, as do I. Curiosity and a desire to know everything can make you feel like your mind never stops. Keep thinking but try to keep it positive and in perspective. Meditation helps.

Everybody except for President George W Bush. He only thinks three times a day and once he's decided what to eat that's that for him

I've only a couple of people who can actually turn off their inside voices. Serious meditation can stop it, if you train.
But, TV reduces people's brainwaves to less than you'd have staring at a blank wall. I never did learn to meditate...

In "what the bleep..." they say the brain receives 4,000,000,000 bits of information every SECOND, and only processes 2000....
anyway, how could you not think with that number!!!! Millions of things going on and we don't even notice, thank god!
