My bf and I have been together for 4 yrs and now have a son. His parents are renewing thier vows and want me and my son to go. the prob is i feel that i dont need to go b/c they have never made the effort to visit thier grandson or even make it to any of his birthday parties or even call me to see how he is doing. My bf's parents are making a big deal about me not taking the baby. Am i totally being lame ? Should i go?

You should go, not for them but for your boyfriend. He will appreciate the gesture even if they dont. And while you are there maybe you should invite them to your house for a holiday or start to discuss your sons nect birthday party with your mother in law and ask her if she will be attending. Just to make the point, dont make a big deal of it, keep it low key.

Go - it may be a good way to open up a discussion with them about how they treat your son.

I would go....be the better person, my family always told me that the best way to get even with someone who doesn't like you or make an effort to like you, is to be super nice to them, there's no way that they can ever mistreat someone who's being nice. good luck
