My Windows Movie Maker won't let me edit a MPG file I got off a DVD. It closes with an error sign. What's up?

It just shuts down with an error poppup. I need a converter to wmv I guess, but then they all did the same thing!

If you just copied it to the disk, it propably means you don`t have the rights to do it. Dvd copying is illegal and not quite this easy...;-)
