LOL! You are kidding, right? Moslem's were getting their Quisling Jewish friends to rat out the resistant Christians and their leaders frequently with one of those "convert or die" choices. Somehow you've got an idea that the Pope at the time was helping his people lose?
This ranks right up there with the flat earth and that the moon landings were faked. Sorry, dude, somebody is probably laughing themselves silly thinking you bought that idea.

Islam had nothing to do with the catholic church at all. The catholic church was not started until a few hundred years after christ. Almost all the arabs are the descendents of Ishmael, Son of Abraham, and his nephew. This was about 2,000 years before Christ. At one point a great person Mohammed came along who had similar teachings that the prophets of old had and started his own following.
Just like us Christians are waiting for the 2nd coming of Christ. They are waiting for the 2nd coming of Mohammed. I don't know how they got so radical. They want to kill the jews, and believe all people in the world will become muslims or be killed. Even now, if you are one and leave the faith and become a christian, your punishment is death. Christians arent' that mean.

Yes. The pope did that right after he engineered the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

what are you talking about?
one pope was reading a book on mohammad, and it was found, and people thought he was becoming a muslim.. when he was simply reading about it, and nothing more.
if they are true catholics, they wouldn't leave. i have a ton of catholic friends who have read the qu'ran, and they know it's false! so why would a pope, such a religious person, leave catholicism? they wouldn't.

Please tell me that you're joking.
"Ronnie B T" Just a little FYI: Muslims are not waiting for the 2nd coming of Mohammed, they're waiting for the 2nd coming of Jesus, just like Christians (albiet for different reasons). Just thought I'd throw that out there...
