I'm a RN who has specialized in Pediatrics and who has taught Nursing for over 20 years. I appreciate that this issue is difficult for you to understand given the heights of your family members and the fact that people frequently ask you questions about it. You mention that you are not really growth hormone deficient so I presume that you have had a full medical evaluation by an Endocrinologist with lab testing including hormone levels and X-rays of your bones to determine your bone age by assessing your growth plates. If this has not been done in the past two years then I feel that you would benefit by it. Also you do not mention your age at time of puberty which is a supportive factor in making a diagnosis. As you seem to be aware, your DNA and RNA which are determined and regulated by your genes are the main determinants of your adult height but uterine factors, gestational age at birth, environmental factors while you were growing up, nutrition, childhood illnesses, etc. all contribute to your growth. I have an RN friend whose family heights are similar to your family's yet her youngest son's final height is 5ft 1in. He has just finished college and was never without a girlfriend as there are people of all heights just waiting to create interpersonal relationships. I have been involved with numerous individuals in your situation and the important thing is to develop your own identity and be proud of who you are and what you are able to accomplish in this world. For what it's worth, I was under 5 feet when I turned 14 and then had my growth spurt and ended up 5ft 6in. So keep up your faith and become the best person that you can. Good luck to you.

While some guys do have late growth spurts, it might be worth it to check with an endorcrinologist as another poster said, to consider hormone therapy. It can kind of speed up a spurt that might be delayed. I have two friends who have done this and it made a world of difference.

Growth really depends on your allelles and genes. You are still young and you will have a growth spurt sooner or later. Guys usually stop growing around the age of 18-19. Relax, stop worrying about something you can't control.

Well the first thing, maybe you should check with your docter, but I wouldn't worry about it cuz there are a lot of 15 and 14 year old boys at my school who are short. You may not grow as fast as other guys. Hope I helped!

Ask you doctor about it. You are probably not through growing at
15 y/o yet. Most of the time the child grows to at least the height of the shortest parent.

So what is wrong with being short assuming that you grow only a little bit? I am about 5 and I love the fact that I am petite. Remember that good things come in small packages-

Dont worry about it. I'm 14 and I'm around that height. My parents were both short so...I dont think I'll be growing anytime soon. But YOU...you'll grow some more. Just wait a couple more years.Lol.

considering you are only 15, you have a LOT more growing to do. i'd say that within the next couple of years you will shoot up. a lot of my daughters guy friends who are the same age aren't really any taller than you. by the time you are 16, you will have grown a hell of a lot

each person is different - just because your parents and brother are one way has nothing to do with your structure - parents genetic line does prompt but God is the one who structured you for who you should and will be
you are still quite young - people do grow at different rates afterall
be proud of what you are and not so much how you are cos that is your true makeup

Some people take longer to reach their adult height. Just wait and see and you will probably get alot taller.
