ask questions on here with given proof about the falsness of the mormon religion, mormons always tell us to read the book of mormon and to go to LDS church sites? when clearly our questions tell them that the LDS history sites do not tell the full history, they tell what makes the cult easily acceptable. and then they get all upset saying that we dont know what we are talking about. but obviously we do if we give them proof...

What makes you so sure these so-called "facts" and "proof" YOU provide are correct? How do YOU personally know that what information is on the Anti-mormon sites is correct? What makes you SO SURE that we don't know the full history of our church and would hide things? Why would we? You don't like mormons, so what you claim is false, just is?
The reason we tell you to read the Book of Mormon is that is THE ONLY WAY you, yourself, will know it is true. Not by me telling you it is. Same thing with you saying "Oh, I have all this evidence that says mormons are wrong." Well, personally, for you, maybe it is wrong in your eyes. You cannot "prove" to someone else what they do or don't believe.
The spirit of God is the only one who can change a person's heart, help them understand truths. Not me, not you.
I just don't understand how you can go to a site that "claims" to have all the facts when in fact they are not an official site of the church! Would you accept "facts" from Nazi's about Jews? How about some "proof" from a garbage man on a new cancer treatment he came up with?
I sincerely hope you are smarter than all that, but in light of all your recent questions I am having my doubts...

Actually, several reasons come immediately to mind.

One reason is certainly because "proof," according to many people like you, often consists of cutting and pasting the same anti-mormon rheteric that has been around for years. OFten times the proof is really just the opinion of someone who detests the church saying that we simply do not interpret the scriptures the same way. This is not only not original, but also reveals that most likely you have never actually read anything that we truly believe.

We refer you to our website because it is the official website of our church. It contains the doctrines we believe. We, ourselves, use the website regularly to find articles, information, and other resources. You would have access to things that we study in church. Anti-mormon versions of our beliefs, while they may contain some aspect of our doctrines, are often twisted to look ridiculous, taken out of context to appear shocking, or are out right lies.

If it is not on our website, if we do not teach it or study it ever, if we do not live it, then who actually believes it? I think that quite often the only group who actually believes the anti-mormon materials are other anti-mormon people.

Finally, we refer you to our website, tell you to read the same things that we believe, and encourage you to pray to God for wisdom, because we know that you will not listen to any answer that we can offer you because you have already decided that we are an evil cult.

What else can we do apart from try our best to answer your questions and refer you to a place where you can see for yourself that what we are saying is truly what we believe?

If you hate mormons so much, why do you waste so much time and energy on them?

why is it that when atheists ask questions on here with given proof about the falseness of the christian religion, christians always tell us to read the bible or christian websites, when quite clearly those places don't tell the full story, but just what makes the cult of christianity acceptable. Why do you get upset saying we don't know what we are talking about but obviously we do if we give you proof.

that's it, I'm down for the day....it's tiring arguing with idiots.

I asked someone from a "religion" what they do if somebody comes into their church building and Needs Healing.
They couldn't Answer me.

I have seen Alot of People get Healed from the Power of an Almighty GOD in Christian Meetings.

All I can say is that Alot of religions, must not have the Power of an Almighty GOD working in their presence during the meetings.
Only thing I can come up with.

Newsflash: Christianity was a "cult" once too. The first Christians were Jewish heretics. (Yup, the Jews came first)
New religions always start out as cults. Just imagine if there were more Mormons than Christians in the U.S. Now who would be calling who a cult?
Just think about it.

Not really sure...However, I would like to make the distinction that there is a vast difference between a Christian and a Mormon! True Christians believe only in the Bible and the Bible alone. In none of the Gospels (or anywhere else in the Bible) did Jesus say to look out for Joseph Smith or any other prophet. Jesus said to wait for His second coming and be weary of anything else.

I'm sorry, did you say you had already read Hugh Nibley? Or have you been to the city of Lamanai in Belize? Or have you spoken with Jewish archaeologist and professor Joseph Ginat? Have a happy day.

Okay, what exactly is the question?

Are you complaining that people give you links/references when you ask for them and then complain that you don't agree with what's on them (ie, no PROOF to support your questions/disagreements)?

Does attacking another belief system really strengthen YOUR faith? Is that what you believe God wants of you? Just curious.

Thanks for the question.

Probably for the same reason that Christians dodge questions by athiests saying to read the Bible and give junk fundy sites. Christians don't even recognize that all the junk written about Jesus was made up decades after Jesus died, if he existed at all. They don't tell their own full history.

I believe they are good people who dedicate themselves to their faith. We could learn a lot from them. It isn't easy to throw away your belief's. Look how long it took the Jehovah Witnesses to drop the teaching that only 144, 000 would be saved.
