Reconstructionism is a Dominion theology that arose out of conservative Presbyterianism (Reformed and Orthodox), which proposes that contemporary application of the laws of Old Testament Israel, or "Biblical Law," is the basis for reconstructing society.
So severe is this theocracy that it would extend capital punishment beyond such crimes as kidnapping, rape, and murder to include, among other things, blasphemy, heresy, adultery, and homosexuality. Reconstructionism would eliminate not only
democracy but many of its manifestations, such as labor unions, civil rights laws, and public schools. Women would be generally relegated to hearth and home. Insufficiently Christian men would be denied citizenship, perhaps executed.
It is significant that Reconstructionists have created a comprehensive program, with Biblical justifications for far right political policies.

Absolutely not!!
It was Christians (particularly Protestants) who abolished the 'Theocracy' of the Middle Ages and brought about the secularization of society. Only in a secular society where the state confines itself to maintaining the roads and the peace do we have the liberty to find true religion, which is personal, spiritual and in no way coercive. Under a state religion such as Henry VIII's England or Inquisition Spain the state consumes itself with a bloodbath of the opposing camp and fails to either do the things required of a stable government or those things required by New Testament religion, such as providing for the poor.
The Dominion Theology people seem to be ignorant of history and worse still ignorant of the fact that they are the worst sort of ungodly unamerican fascists.
Vote Democrat.

No, we are not national Israel and it is not the time of the Old testament with its pre-Christ law. Don;t confuse many on the so-called right who believe in Biblical principles to be a part of this. There is a big difference in striving for just law against murder, rape, stealing , all of which are Biblical laws and mixing the Judicial law of Israel in. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water.

this could be a excellent question; for one million it may make the outdated Xtain schedule and the recent Xtain schedule collide with one yet another. because of the fact the recent one talks approximately loving your neighbor, and giving to the undesirable. whilst the outdated talks approximately killing absolutely everyone who disagrees alongside with your opinion, and conception on morality. A christina theocracy could artwork for the outdated, yet no longer in case you help Jesus alleged teachings in any way. it extremely is a large paradox, and one which christians will extremely steer away from via attempting to make what they could help a theocracy, sound like paradise.

Wasn't that what the people who built this country were running away from?

King Hammurabi and the other assholes that "ran the world" back in the day were already like that. They killed the openly gay - even if they had same sex relations themselves.

No, I would not vote for it - I would find a way to kill it and make it stay buried.

Nope. That would be silly and defeat the whole purpose of voting and democratic freedom.

Sounds like the Baptist Taliban to me. No, thanks. I think that would lead to a second civil war in the US.
