I will soon nominate myself or a "media and newspaper" position in the student's union of my university.
can you please give me some ideas of what should I concentrate on in my nomination presentation?

importance of free information and reporting
non-control of student media by the administration
increasing revenue of student media (like selling more ads)
improving the quality and relevance of articles
doing more with web and internet-based media such as blogs
and allowing students to post feedback to articles.
