because you let him. Us men are really simple creatures. If you're putting out and we keep telling you we want to be friends and you keep putting out, then we're going to keep doing the same thing. Stop having sex with him and he'll immediately rethink his strategy if he truly thinks you're "beautiful, accomplished, smart, etc." If he really has feelings for you and will miss you then he'll start a relationship with you. But you HAVE to stop having sex with him to make him realize what he won't have.

Because he is lying...He does not think enough of you to
want to keep you and make you exclusive...
No man wants to share a woman he loves even a little bit....
You are for sex....that's it....
If that is fine with you then you have a friends with benefits deal..
If you want more ( and you clearly want more ) then you are out of luck...

All they want and need from the relationship is easy sex with no strings. I'd rather have a FwB than a serious relationship myself, so it wouldn't be a problem for me.

he isn't mature enough for a relationship that she deserves. He is still selfish and being a boy and not a man. He may even know it too. But that is why.

because this is what most men truly want so we can have more friends like this without anyone being pissed at us for wanting more than one woman

Narrow minded and self centered as many men are. Why would she want a loser like that anyway?
