A 14 year old is TOOOOO young to be out at 3 in the morning or even past 9 or 10pm which is pushing it. But since you are not the parent, ( based on what it sounds like, you are a 3rd party ) then you really have no say so about it. I think honestly if you have a strong friendship with your friend that maybe you could bring it up as a concern but you can't tell that person how to raise their own child. Hope this helps.

When I was 14, I had to be in by 9pm and if I was late I was grounded for a week. My Dad had rules and if I didnt follow them I paid the price. My school was more important than hanging out. I had chores at home. They had to be done before my mom got home from work. Things in my house were so tight that I couldnt even use the phone after 8pm and I couldnt even talk with boys on the phone.
For a 14 year old girl being out till 3 am is VERY CRAZY!!!!!!!!
Her mother must be into drugs or her boyfriend is more important.. I have a 6 year old and would never let mine be out past 7pm.. There are to manys nasty men that like little girls......

That is insane. The parents of that 14 year old child should have their butts kicked. In what right mind would you let a 14 yr old stay out that late. My 14 year old is in by the time the street lights come on. That age is still a child and very vulnerable. They are asking for trouble. I really hope for the child's sake it doesn't happen.

Ten pm at the latest, unless at some sort of supervised event. Too many perverts out there for a young girls to be out that late. Not to mention, what of a savory nature is there to do until 3 am in the morning? At 16, then I could see 12pm or 1am. But three am?
And I'm only 22, so I'd like to think that I'm not old fashioned.

She's fourteen and she stay out until 3 am? That is insane. My daughter is now sixteen, but she has a loose curfew of 10pm. There are exceptions, such as on nights that she doesn't have school the next day if she is at a movie or something she can stay a little later, but she has to keep me informed. I think it is inappropriate to be staying out until all hours of the morning.

OK, that's just nuts, I think so too.
Although, I had a friend who would work at the local diner due to her parent's divorce.
She had no curfew, and she was more old-fashioned than I in some respects than in others.
She partied, experimented just a tad with pot, and was generally a very responsible young woman.
She was 15, by the way.
However, the average teen needs about 9 hours of sleep, and more for growth spurts.
So even if people are not safety conscious, this girl's headed for trouble.
Good for you for staying out of it!

8 pm on weeknights if homework is done beforehand. 10 pm on weekends. Nothing good happens to a 14 yo beyond those times. 3am is neglect. Those parents should be reported th DCFS for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Thank you for having enough sense with your 14 yo. Stay firm on your times and I would watch the friends she hangs with. One who hangs until 3am probably shouldnt be hanging out with your daughter.

And people wonder why so many youth get into trouble all the time!
9PM on week nights 11PM on weekends. The parents should be responsible as to where the child is and whom they are with.
Irresponsibility! What exactly do they think their precious little Angel is doing until 3AM? What a mess!
